As I head off to shoot a commerical, my dear friend and fellow Groundling, Michaela, will be debuting on Saturday Night Live tonight.  A beautiful and hilarous person inside and out, send some vibes and congrats her way. Unless of course you hate the show, or believe it was only good in the 'old days,' or don't watch it, or are a youtube commenting troll who likes to just post negative comments.   In that case I say, thank you for keeping your vibes to yourself.

Looking forward to meeting Michaela! I think the criticisms of any SNL later than the first cast is pretty overblown; there's usually some good stuff and some not so good stuff on there. Even the Jean Doumanian years had Eddie Murphy's first wonderful stuff. Andy Samberg proves you can do innovative material there now.

I still watch SNL and enjoy the differences, as well as the similarities to the old days. Some formulas work, and some don't - but the show has survived some long years. That's amazing in such a fickle business.
