experiment day 21
Today
10:47pm
It was a high stress work day. I'll spare you the details but I was snippy and bitchy. And there never is a good excuse for that. So I'm grateful for the awareness, and the ability to be better. Tomorrow.
Till then, hi pillow.

I'm grateful that each day is an opportunity to make it better than the day before. Especially when the day before was total and utter c.r.a.p, the likes of which I hope I never see again. So, here's to tomorrow!

I'm gateful for good food and hot chocolate.
I'm grateful for holidays and airplanes that can take me to far away places and show me new cultures.
I'm gateful that the weather is going to be warm in sunny California when I come tomorrow to escape the chilly Australian Autumn.
That said, I am also grateful for the beauty of autumn and the magical colours that never fail to take my breath away and remind me to look @ the bigger picture.
I've gotten in a few today because I'm going on holidays and won't be able to finish the experiment with you all.
Thank you for doing it and for inviting us to join in, Annie. Especially for making me notice all the blessings I receive on a daily basis.
I'll be sure to check in & catch up on the rest when I get back home.
Cheers!

I am grateful that whiskey and coke tastes great on a warm late spring evening. I am grateful that my wife and I talk about the past - our deepest 'oops' and 'oh shits' and it is ok. I like that I have been with her for nearly 8 years and we still talk about stuff; over whiskey and coke; as the town slows down and gets quiet; as happiness and love continue to burn warmly and bright even as the sun says goodnight.

I'm grateful for a fiancee who waited at the airport until after 1am so she could be there when I finally landed.

I'm grateful I'm old enough I have to worry about posting things I'm grateful for that I've already posted and don't remember:)
I'm grateful I have a kennel to put the dog in so he will stop trying to dig a hole in the floor to get to whatever it is that is living under the trailer. (He loves the kennel and went right to sleep; it's inside and next to the bed). I'm also grateful he loves it.
I'm grateful my friend Cindy showed me frozen bones when he was a puppy. You take those sterile bones filled with filling and save them after the dog eats them, then fill them with dog food (Caesars works best) then freeze. The puppy, who likes to chew, takes about a half an hour to get through one... the dog, four years later, loves the bone so much he will come out of corners where he is stalking the animal under the trailer by way of heat vents and happily go in his kennel for one :)

I am grateful that I am not yet so jaded or self absorbed that I cannot find something to be grateful for.
