quotes

In response to the last post, PASteve wrote this:

If we combine your new attitude and Wil Wheaton's new catch phrase we get "Be happy, Make others happy, Don't be a dick"

Surely this would make the world a much better place.

I love that. Thanks Steve.

At the production company I've been freelancing for, I saw a couple quotes on a wipe board that I liked.

'We can't afford fancy.' and 'Sometimes it's just beyond notes.'

That really speaks to my writer brain.

And lastly, I shot the second of the two commercials yesterday (I was being held for a third but didn't get it). Anyway, it fucking ROCKED. So much fun. So many cool people. My call time was 5am and for a brief second I thought about when I had to get up at that time to go wait tables at Toast. I laughed. I gave thanks to whatever above. And then I fuckin blarred 'Stronger' and drove fast.

flow

Some people believe in living in the flow of things, and others just call it luck, but some 2 weeks ago there was a POP. Maybe it was just my head coming out of my ass, but whatever it was, it brought clarity. Clarity that made me see that being happy needs to be number one. Just being happy. Me being happy. Me making others happy. Me making a mark on this world that means something. That means something happy.

Since this, some cool stuff has happened. I booked two commercials in one week and pitched a writing project that got approval last week. Again, some would call it luck, especially with commercials, but I call it changing course. When the flow is happy and positive, more happy and positive can come to you.

On other note: Go see 'The Kingdom.' It will rock your balls off. For real. Best movie I've seen in awhile. Although I haven't really seen anything since Rent. No, I saw Knocked Up. Okay well, anyway, go see it. It was said that for the last 30 minutes, you won't be able to move. It's true. I didn't. When the movie was over there was a thinking silence permeating the theater. That made me still. And quiet. And happy.
